Thomas Jolly

  Thomas Jolly is an actor, artistic director, and stage director for both theatre and opera. A major figure on the French cultural scene, he has established himself as one of the most distinctive creators of his generation, equally capable of staging Shakespearean marathons, popular musicals, and classical operas. In 2022, he directed the revival of Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon's Starmania at La Seine Musicale. Appointed artistic director of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games ceremonies, he staged on July 26, 2024 the first opening ceremony in history to take place outside a stadium, along the Seine. In 2025, he was appointed on a voluntary basis to lead the Video Game Support Fund Commission at the CNC. This year, he will be artistic director of Drag Race France Season 4 tour. Thomas Jolly embodies a generation of creators who are reinventing the codes of theatre, opera, and live performance, making art accessible to the widest possible audience.

  Thomas Jolly est acteur, directeur artistique et metteur en scène de théâtre et d'opéra. Figure majeure de la scène française, il s'est imposé comme l'un des créateurs les plus singuliers de sa génération, capable de porter aussi bien des marathons shakespeariens que des comédies musicales populaires ou des opéras classiques. En 2022, il signe notamment la recréation de Starmania de Michel Berger et Luc Plamondon à La Seine Musicale. Désigné directeur artistique des cérémonies des Jeux olympiques et paralympiques de Paris 2024, il signe le 26 juillet 2024 la première cérémonie d'ouverture de l'histoire à se dérouler hors d'un stade, le long de la Seine. En 2025, il est nommé pour un mandat bénévole à la tête de la Commission du fonds d'aide au jeu vidéo du CNC. Cette année, il sera directeur artistique de la tournée de Drag Race France Saison 4. Thomas Jolly incarne une génération de créateurs qui réinventent les codes du théâtre, de l'opéra et du spectacle, rendant l'art accessible au plus grand nombre
