Jad Salfiti

Jad Salfiti, a British-Palestinian journalist based in Berlin, has made the intersection of culture and politics a cornerstone of his work. Passionate about queer cinema and the Middle East, he is the creator of the documentary series Germany’s Palestine Problem, which won the 2023 WAN-IFRA Middle East award for "Best Use of Video."

A contributor to The Guardian, Financial Times, The Economist, and Al Jazeera English, Salfiti also co-hosts ARTE’s current affairs program Europe Weekly. Additionally, he produces reports on LGBTQIA+ cinema for the BBC’s Talking Movies and contributes to Jonzo, known for its irreverent and queer-focused interviews.
