Queer Palm
The Queer Palm is the LGBTQIA+ award at the Cannes Film Festival since 2010.
Each year during the Festival, a jury honors one short film and one feature film selected from the Cannes Official Selection and its parallel sections. These films spotlight LGBTQ+ themes, feminist perspectives, or challenge gender norms.
Registrations for the second class of the Queer Palm Lab are open until June 30, 2025 - More infos and registrations here.

THE 2025 POSTER
Marie Rouge, 33 years old, started photography at the age of 15 by taking self-
portraits with her father’s camera. Her work includes photos of protests, portraits of friends and then of well-known figures, as well as images from parties. Marie Rouge’s style — always vibrant in color — is marked by empathy and gentleness. Though discreet, the Paris-based photographer does not hide her activism. She advocates for numerous causes, including the defense of minorities and gender equality.
“It was in 2020, 50 years after the Stonewall riots and the first Pride. It was also the year of Covid and endless lockdowns. Not just any march, therefore. A powerful symbol, full of determination and anger. Commissioned by Libération, I was thrilled to be reunited with my people, and the headline in the paper said ‘We’re here to scream that we want rights.’”
