Josza Anjembe

Former journalist, Josza self-produced her first two documentaries, Massage à la camerounaise (2011) and K.R.U.M.P (2012), before venturing into fiction. Her films explore identity and its transformations: in Le bleu blanc rouge de mes cheveux (2016), she follows the journey of a Cameroonian teenager aspiring to become French, and in Baltringue (2020), she portrays the love at first sight between two inmates in a prison. Abi, her first feature film currently in development, tells the story of a young Black protagonist who lands his first job in a Parisian newsroom.
